Currently the EduSpaces project covers the question, how knowledge that is generated at university and through practical experience can rise to a highly professional level (cf. Kunter 2011; Arnold et al. 2014) of teaching and education in school and in kindergarten. Being able to use more academic knowledge constructions can on the one hand enhance the student trainee’s practical experiences (cf. Fenwick/Cooper 2013) and on the other hand practical experiences can be useful for the university apprenticeship. This leads to the circumstance that student trainees enter into everyday work more sufficiently prepared. EduSpaces includes four key areas: Research Centre and Archive for the History of Education in South Tyrol. MultiLab focusses on natural-scientific, mathematical, artistic abilities and movement-scientific professionalization. Early child linguistic knowledge is in LanguageLab's centre of attention. LearningLab is about the development and testing of methods in teaching-learning-situations. The entire project as well as every part is open-conceived for colleagues from theory (e.g. as university) and practice (e.g. as kindergarten and school). EduSpaces ensures that the pre-service teachers are given the ability to understand and live a new culture of teaching and learning. The possibility to improve their teaching-methods is offered to teachers in service. By networking with external partners, theory and practice can be closely related and be mutually reflected. Until now the project takes a central position in the governmental program „La Buona Scuola“: Strengthening experimental training experiences. State authorities seem to divide responsibilities like primi inter pares. Can already be spoken of a formal transfer of competence by the way of an actual competence development?
