This presentation will recount some of the technological changes over the last 30+ years, and how they have influenced they way in which international large-scale assessments are designed, carried out, delivered, and reported.
Advances in the areas of test development, operations, psychometrics, and reporting will be highlighted, as will changes in curricular expectations and the assessed domains. The presentation will conclude with a review of some of the newer technologies and processes that are currently under development and implementations, and how these might shape the future of large-scale assessments.
