The research examines the relationship between the growth of new private colleges in Israeli urban center around Tel-Aviv, This phenomenon integral to the "revolution in higher education" in Israel as it evolved in the last two decades, and the phenomenon's influence on the formation of a urban Mizrahi- oriental Jews, middle-class. We links between new type of higher education institutions- privet colleges, less selective than the universities specialized in high prestige field of studies, which strongly connected to middle class's employments and the formation of new class formation. Research method: Analysis of the socio-demographic characteristics of Mizrahi middle-class students studying in a private college. The major variables analyzed: geographic location, socio-demographic variables, status variables and academic characteristics. At present, 9 private colleges offering BA degrees operate in Israel; the majorities (8) are located in the central region around Tel-Aviv. Their characteristics are similar and appropriate for the purposes of the research: less selective institutions than the universities, high tuition fees and the required study tracks. The sample based on survey questionnaire at 2010, including 500 of the student body in the selected study tracks.
