This paper examines the diversity and common features of practice-based learning arrangements from the perspective of European policy development and from different study programmes within 6 Unversities within 6 European Countries (Turkey, Slovenia, Danmark, Norway, Ireland and Germany). It comes to conlcusions towards the generic structure of such practical study phases within curricular of VET Teacher educationion and engineering. Altogether the paper examines the possibilities to develop · a Europe-wide feedback mechanism on the functioning of practice-based learning and · a common (shaping-oriented) framework for supporting the development of practice-based learning arrangements in different domains of HE studies.
