The cohabitation problems in the educative centres are due to the lack of values or their lack of axiological content. When the human being is not able to clarify his values, his goals are vague and he cannot find the sense of his life. That is why, in this paper, our objective is to provide a path for the clarification of the values to be successfully achieved in a harmonious way through its implementation in the ordinary curriculum in the educative centres, and to promote an education for a change through the development of the affective level of the pupils. This incorporation must start from the earliest educative stages –Nursery and Primary education- to achieve an integral education of the pupils and to contribute to the quality of the teaching and learning processes.
In this investigation, we have revised the values throughout history, bearing in mind that it was since the second half of the ninetieth century, philosophy has taken values under consideration. That is how Axiology began.
Our contribution to the clarification of values is based on the ideas of Louis Rath (1966), Krischenbaum (1973) with the complementation of the ideas of Antonia Pascual (1988).
We conceive the clarification of values as a technique which teaches the process of valuing and helping people effectively to apply it in their daily routine through a series of questions and activities. Its key objective is the development of the valuing process in children, that is to say, to help them learn how to make decisions taking the alternatives and the consequences into account.
All of these principles will be hand in hand with the analysis we will make with the data collected between 2008 and 2011 to find out whether the teachers carry out activities related to the clarification of values in the classroom.
