Paul Smeyers, link-convenor, informed the Network about the need (expressed by Council) for election procedures for convenors and for the link-convenor to be effective from 2018.
The proposal is as follows:
Convenors:
Convenors are elected from participants in the network during the ECER network meeting (candidates should have a good standing in the community and an involvement in the sub-discipline which should be clear from their publication record)
- they are elected for four years
- they can be re-elected
- a gender balance should be observed
- it should further be observed that different geographical regions are represented
- there should be a minimum of 2 nominations (candidates) for the election of a convenor
- that there is a vacancy should be announced before the ECER conference minimally to all network presenters.
Link-convenor:
The link-convenor is chosen from the convenors and appointed (consensus or election) by the convenors for 4 years (one possible re-election). Impeachment is possible by the Convenors.
There were no comments. The proposal was accepted unanimously.
