Network Meeting 2016, Dublin

The number of papers has been decreasing in the past 3, 4 years. This was a topic discussed during the network meeting and it might be related with less people doing ethnography due to contemporary trends in doing research; clashing call for papers from other networks; other conferences on ethnography during the year. The Network considers that some actions needed to be put in place to revert this situation. Therefore, it was decided that (i) to organise a call for papers on online ethnography and communities to be disseminated along with the general call for papers; (ii) to organise 2 or 3 focused symposium; to increase the connection with young researchers participating at the Emerging Researchers' Conference, not only though mentorship, but by involving PhD students as links with network; to increase the connection with local ethnographers and research community in Copenhagen; organize a specific session inviting phD studnets doing ethnography. It was also discussed the creation of a facebook page.
Information on the new Methods Book was given, namelly on the concept and on the possibility to send proposals to be considered to the book. Following recommendations and suggestion from the link convenors meeting, the network was informed on different possibilities for financing network based activities; on honorary network members and on new formats of presentation.
