Summary of Network Meeting:
The meeting followed the following agenda:
- Welcome and introductions
- Brief information about the Network: link convenors, co-convenors, relation with the SHE Research Group
- Publication activity
- UNESCO Chair on Health and Education
- The conference so far and ideas for next year
- AOB
The main issues discussed were the procedures for selecting link-convenors and co-convenors. The new link convenor nominated by the co-convenors was Monica Carlsson. She will replace Venka Simovska who was acting as link convenor since the establishment of the Network in 2011. Monica Carlsson was presented and her appointment as new link convenor was confirmed. In the period of transition, Monica Carlsson and Venka Simovska will work together and Monica will officially take over the network at the meeting at ECER 2018. One member of the co-convenor team was replaced with another (see the new members on the network website).
Closer collaboration with the Emerging Researchers network was suggested. This will be followed up in relation to ECER 2018. It was decided that again next year we should have a special call, the text to be drafted by the new link convenor and agreed upon in the convenor team. The possibility of a website or cloud space for communicating between conferences was discussed, no definite decision was taken.
