Network Meeting 2017, Copenhagen

The network meeting was scheduled on Thursday afternoon at the same time as presentation sessions were being held, which meant that many people gave their apologies and attendance was lower than in previous years.  The discussion focused on the need to work more closely with network members in late 2017 well before the deadline for abstract submissions to improve the thematic coherence of presentations by focusing on common issues and developing international symposia.  We also discussed the need to strengthen the discussion of methodologies used by network presenters by devoting more time to this crucial issue, including calling for a symposium explicitly focused on methodological issues.

There was also discussion of the need to integrate with other relevant conferences in Europe and promote interaction among network members between conferences. Some network members began plans to collaborate on both undertaking and disseminating research and the meeting ended with an undertaking from the meeting chair to put out a call among network members in December 2017 for ideas for symposia for the 2018 conference.
