Keynote Speakers

Tamás Kozma is Professor Emeritus at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, one of the founding members of EERA (1992).

Michael W. Apple is the John Bascom Professor of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Distinguished Professor of Educational Policy Studies at Northeast Normal University in China.

As Professor of Education at the Institute of Education, University of London, Iram’s recent research projects have included leading on the: Evaluation of the Foundation Phase across Wales and she is a principal investigator of the major DCSF 15-year study on Effective Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education (EPPSE 3-16, 1997-2013) and of the influential Researching Effective Pedagogy in the Early Years project (REPEY).

Sharon Todd is Professor of Education at Maynooth University, Ireland. Her research has focused on educational practice, policy and curriculum, and is situated within the field of philosophy of education and is informed primarily by feminism and contemporary continental philosophy.

The theme of ECER 2015 is “Education and Transition - Contributions from Educational Research”. The keynote speakers have shared their research and insights in their keynotes over the past days. At the EERA Panel all four will discuss with each other and also enter into dialogue with the audience.
