Welcome Reception
Tuesday, 8 September, 19:00 - 21:00
Location: Bálna Cultural Commercial and Leisure Centre / 2nd floor
The Welcome Reception will be held in the Bálna Cultural Commercial and Leisure Centre. Boasting both remarkable architecture as well as a location on the banks of the Danube river, the Bálna (Hungarian for “whale”) hosts various cultural events and festivals. The building combines the architectural traits of different eras. The historical brick building and the concrete structures typical of the last century are surrounded by a computer designed metal-glass shell. It connects downtown and inner Ferencváros, the tourist zone and the gastro-zone. The air of Danube, the sunshine on the terraces, the unique panorama and the joy of arts all create a very pleasant place to be. A light dinner will be served and you can enjoy live classical music.
