General Activities

We have finalized the Data basis of journals in line with the Network's aims. It is accessible to all Network members. Apart from traditional face-to-face meetings during EERA ECER conferences, we organized two online meetings - one to discuss the guidelines for reviewing and share our experiences in reviewing of conference contributions and another one to discuss the practicalities of the forthcoming conference in Nicosia.

Publications

We have been collaborating with Emerald Scopus journal 'Quality Assurance in Education' wherein one of the editors is NW11 honorary member, the ex-Link Convenor Dr. Heidi Flavian, and several NW members serve as reviewers in the Journal. The Network members have published their conference articles in regular issues of the Journal as well. Another option for publishing is the Scopus Q1 Journal 'Education Culture and Society' wherein the current Link Convenor is a member of the Editorial Board. We have repeatedly raised a question of publishing Conference Abstracts in a Book of Abstracts but the suggestion was not approved during NW meetings at ECER2023 nor ECER2024.

Future Plans

During the Network meeting it was decided to organize a methodological seminar on qualitative data analysis for Network members to be aware of the latest approaches in qualitative data analysis and interpretation. This will be beneficial for all reviewers to broaden their perception of qualitative research, since we have been receiving quite a lot of articles employing qualitative research recently.
