General Activities
NW11 member, Associate Professor Valerija Drozdova (Turiba University, Latvia) delivered an open online lecture “Digitalization in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in the University Setting: Theoretical Perspectives and the Turība University Example” (16.01.2026). Several NW members joined the lecture.
Collaboration among NW members from different countries continues in joint research activities.
In EERA ECER2026 there were several joint international contributions. The Network members participated in scientific conferences related to teaching/learning quality and educational efficiency in other countries (the Czech Republic, Lithuania, etc.).
Publications
We continue our collaboration with Emerald Scopus journal 'Quality Assurance in Education' wherein one of the editors is NW11 honorary member, the ex-Link Convenor Dr. Heidi Flavian, and several NW members serve as reviewers in the Journal.
The Network members have published their conference articles in regular issues of the Journal as well.
Another option for publishing is the Scopus Q1 Journal 'Education Culture and Society', wherein the current Link Convenor is a member of the Editorial Board. Some NW members serve as reviewers in the Journal as well.
Several NW11 members published their conference articles there in 2025 and 2026. Paula Martinez Enriquez (UNED, Spain) wrote an article for the EERA blog about Early Childhood Education: https://blog.eera-ecer.de/early-childhood-education-spain/ (18.02.2026)
Future Plans
IN EERA ECER2025, the discussion conducted during the NW meeting highlighted the need to prepare a project proposal, and it was agreed that co-convenors could work together on collaborative funded projects in the future. This idea is still alive. One of our NW members just defended his PhD and will become a reviewer in the future, so we are inclined to involve another PhD student in NW11 activities.
