Network Activities

International scientific cooperation continues developing. In ECER 2025 the research findings conducted in several countries were presented (e.g., Thailand and Latvia; Turkey and the Czech Republic; Bahrain and the UK). Collaboration and joint research have strengthened and the Network members participated in scientific conference in Vilnius University (Linguistic, Educational and Intercultural Research: LEIC conference) and in Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania (International Conference on Lifelong Education and Leadership for ALL: ICLEL 2025 conference).

We continue our collaboration with Emerald Scopus journal 'Quality Assurance in Education' wherein one of the editors is NW11 honorary member, the ex-Link Convenor Dr. Heidi Flavian, and several NW members serve as reviewers in the Journal. The Network members have published their conference articles in regular issues of the Journal as well.

Another option for publishing is the Scopus Q1 Journal 'Education Culture and Society' wherein the current Link Convenor is a member of the Editorial Board.

After having discussed the usefulness of publishing Conference Abstracts in a Book of Abstracts it was decided not to create a separate Abstract Book since the researchers publish their articles in high quality Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals.

The discussion conducted during the NW meeting highlighted the need to prepare a project proposal, and it was agreed that co-convenors could work together on collaborative funded projects in the future. It was further suggested that one or two PhD students should be invited to co-chair NW sessions during the ECER conference. This has already been piloted with success in NW11.
