21. Education and Psychoanalysis

Network Objectives

The proposal is to create a research Network on Education and Psychoanalysis, covering
research linking Education with psychoanalytical approach on a wide range. The key objective of
this Network is to facilitate relations, exchanges and meetings between European researchers
who focus on the effects of the unconscious processes at stake in Education, Training and
Teaching. The improvement of the field of research in the European context will be one of the
objectives of this Network which will contribute to conceptual and methodological development in
the field of a clinical approach in education. In this Network we wish to extend discussions
between researchers on the applications of psychoanalysis, broadly defined, to education in its
widest sense, across adult and lifelong learning, in higher education as well as schooling.
We define the thematic research field both as research current and as practices in education or
training current, in which attention is focused on intra and intersubjective processes at work in the
educational or training relationship, with a particular attention on group processes.

NW 21 runs a mailing list and invites researchers to join. To join the mailing list, send a blank message to (nw21-subscribe(at)lists.eera-ecer.de)
