Minutes from the ECER NW 27 meeting in Dublin 25 August 2016

Introduction
a. The minutes of the Budapest network meeting were approved,
b. No alterations for the agenda was suggested
Honorary membership for Brian Hudson
a. In the presence of Theo Wubbels, President of EERA, Brian Hudson was appointed honorary membership of the network
Reports about ongoing work in the network
a. The link convenor (Meinert Meyer) and the deputy link convenors , (Florence Ligozat and Jonas Almqvist) reported on the development of our network and its projects
b. Invitation to present suggestions for other projects and activities from the plenum. One suggestion – namely to do a special call about gender for ECER 2017 – was discussed.
Mailing list of the network
a. Jonas Almqvist informed the participants at the meeting about the mailing list facilities.
Discharge of the present link convenor and his deputies; election of a new link convenor and his deputies by the convenors of network 27 who are present
a.    The link convenor (Meinert Meyer) and the deputy link convenors , (Florence Ligozat and Jonas Almqvist) was discharged or their duties
b.    Florence Ligozat was elected as new link convenor
c.    Jonas Almqvist and Carol Taylor were elected as deputy link convenors
Report on an EERJ publication project on didactics
a. Florence Ligozat and Jonas Almqvist reported from the work on the double special issue of Eureopean Educational Reseach Journal on the topic Didactics – teaching and learning.
Report on a project on general education in Europe
a. Meinert Meyer has initiated a project on general education in Europe. He plans to report more extensively on this at next ECER.
Network objectives and their presentation at the home page of our network
a. Florence Ligozat and Jonas Almqvist informed the meeting about the network objectives and their presentation at the home page of our network. They also encouraged everyone to have a look at the web page and send suggestions of change to Jonas Almqvist.
